Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA Peter has taken a keen interest in the local RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) for many years and has twice been elected chairman of Wessex Region, comprising Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Bristol and Bath Branches, as well as holding various offices in the Wiltshire Branch. He is currently treasurer of the Wiltshire Branch and also sits on the national and regional CPD committees. The Royal Society for Public Health Peter is an Associate Member of the Royal Society for Public Health, having passed, with distinction, a Diploma in construction Health and safety Management at Bristol College in order in order to become eligible for membership. Using his training in Construction Health and Safety he undertakes the role of CDM Coordinator under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007, primarily on projects where he is also the Architect, but occasionally on other projects for established clients. WessexDesignHouse The Practice is a member of WessexDesignHouse, a group of building professionals based around Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and North Somerset including Architects, planning consultants, Quantity Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Interior Designers, Surveyors, Specialist Design/Builders, Planning consultants, M&E Services Consultants and Architectural Technologists. The Green Register Peter is also a member of the Green Register of Building Professionals, a group of Designers, Manufacturers and Builders committed to sustainable design and production. Caddie The Practice uses the Caddie Computer Aided design system by Advanced Computer Systems (Europe) Ltd for virtually all design work, and Peter is committed to the continuing development of this excellent system, being a Beta tester for new versions, and Membership Secretary of the Caddie User Group CUKUG.
